I think racism is a big problem today, in many different ways, and eventually parents will have to address their kids about it. If not they will find out eventually on their own, and may not understand clearly what racism means. I think parents need to alert their children about current events of racism, and even older events like slavery. They also need to let them know that some people will hate on others, and judge them just becasue of their skin color. According to the APA , parents have misjudged the age at which kids understand what racism means, and that some people are discriminated against by their skin color, whether African American, asian, Mexican ect. If you were to ask me, I think parents should be responsible, and inform kids about racism, around the age 4-7. I believe that, because it is stated in a study by pubmed.gov, that babys only up to three months old, when put to the test, prefer other babies that have the same skin color as them. This just shows how intelligent kids are at such a young age, and parents shouldn’t wait too long to tell kids about racism.
I think the most important invention of the 20th century was the automobile. The automobile was patented on January 29 1886 by a man of the name Karl Benz. Karl benz was a engine designer, and automotive engineer. Since the first invention of the automobile, we have made many modifications to it, and ultimately changed the world with how advanced cars are today. I think cars were the best invention of the 20th century, because of the way transportation changed. Now most people own a car, and is quick and efficient when getting from point A to point B. Before automobiles were invented people would have to either walk, or most likely take a train everywhere, which restricts where you can go, and at what times. In conclusion i think the automobile was the best 20th century invention, because of the way it has impacted our lives today, and of how much easier it makes transportation.
